| An entertaining evening of table tennis. Matt D didn't drop a game for his maximum. John's dogged defence overcame Rob F in five and newcomer Dale in four. Matt I narrowly lost to Rob F in five after squeaking past Dale in a match with two deuce games. Matt D and John came back from 2-0 down in the doubles in another five-setter. Well played all! | ||

| A thrashing on the score card but that doesn't tell the full story and justifiably the Knight Riders should feel they deserved much more for their efforts. 16 of the 39 games played were 11-9 or deuce scores. The evening started with a 5 game tussle between Ed and Pierre , the former leading 2-0 until Pierre made a decisive change of tactics on the return of serve and won the next three games comfortably, aside from a nervous 11-9 4th game when with just a little more luck Ed could have snatched an impressive victory. Neil then overcame Craig in 4 games for his first win of the season and followed this up later in the evening with another very close gamed victory over Je-F, 12-10 in the 4th after being 8-2 down. If Je-F felt unfortunate in this match it was nothing to his 5 game encounter with Anders , where Anders squandered a 9-4 lead in the 5th game, securing the match 16-14 with his 4th match point having saved 3. Anders then repeated the feat when he could so easily have lost in 3 straight games to Ed , beating him 13-11 in the fifth, again having saved match points along the way. Another two deuces were shared in the doubles with Pierre and Anders running out comprehensive winners in the end. | ||
